The blog? It is time to put the blog to rest. I have been pleased with the ability Remind gives me to connect with families. I sense that families have appreciated how the text limits on Remind force me to be more brief! :) I've heard that the age of "weblogs" is over. Indeed, most teachers at Grout and our neighboring schools no longer use them. This will, perhaps, be my last!
Our Google Classroom, the Pond, will stay open for students, of course. I am also keeping my classroom website (https://sites.google.com/view/fischergrout) up. However, I must begin preparing it for my next class. You will find some needed information here.
I will send announcements on Remind for families. However, your most important sources of news from school will be the Grout office (especially the Thursday Annoucements sent by email) and the PTA's announcements on Konstella. I will use Remind just to clarify or amplify their communication. Expect news from the office about:
- An event to celebrate departing fifth graders
- How to pick up items left behind in March
- Final report cards
This is not my last communication to you, so I will not say "Goodbye/Good Luck" here, but it MAY be the last day for my blog. (Goodbye, blog!)
